This summer at CWW, I was privileged to have met and befriend the six Haitians who were working in the camp kitchen. Esaie, Edens, Evil, Harode, Samuel, and Joseph became good friends with myself and my family.
Meeting them led to a crash course in all things Haitian including their language of Creole. I was shocked to learn of the deplorable living conditions in Haiti, I am embarrassed to say I didn’t know much about Haiti until meeting “my guys”. I wasn’t aware that Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. I was not aware of many things, things that I plan to share on my blog.
